1 Universus ergo Israël dinumeratus est et summa eorum scripta est in libro regum Israël, et Juda: translatique sunt in Babylonem propter delictum suum. Therfor al Israel was noumbrid, and the summe of hem was writun in the book of kyngis of Israel and of Juda; and thei weren translatid in to Babiloyne for her synne. And all Israel was numbered: and the sum of them was written in the book of the kings of Israel, and Juda: and they were carried away to Babylon for their transgression. Those who returned from captivity. 1Chr.9.1-9
2 Qui autem habitaverunt primi in possessionibus, et in urbibus suis: Israël, et sacerdotes, et Levitæ, et Nathinæi. Sotheli thei that dwelliden first in her citees, and in the possessiouns of Israel, and the preestis, and the dekenes, and Natyneys, dwelliden in Jerusalem. Now the first that dwelt in their possessions, and in their cities, were the Israelites, and the priests, and the Levites, and the Nathineans.  
3 Commorati sunt in Jerusalem de filiis Juda, et de filiis Benjamin, de filiis quoque Ephraim, et Manasse. Of the sones of Juda, and of the sones of Beniamyn, also of the sones of Effraym, and of Manasses; And in Jerusalem dwelt of the children of Juda, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and of Manasses.  
4 Othei filius Ammiud, filii Amri, filii Omrai, filii Bonni, de filiis Phares filii Juda. Othi, the sone of Amyud, sone of Semry, sone of Omroy, sone of Bonny, of the sones of Phares, the sone of Juda; Othei the son of Ammiud, the son of Amri, the son of Omrai, the son of Bonni, of the sons of Phares the son of Juda.

9 et fratres eorum per familias suas, nongenti quinquaginta sex. Omnes hi, principes cognationum per domos patrum suorum. bi her meynees; nyne hundrid sixe and fifti. Alle these weren princes of her kynredis by the housis of her fadris. And their brethren by their families, nine hundred and fifty-six. All these were heads of their families, by the houses of their fathers.

11 Azarias quoque filius Helciæ, filii Mosollam, filii Sadoc, filii Maraioth, filii Achitob, pontifex domus Dei. and Azarie, the sone of Helchie, sone of Mosollam, sone of Sadoch, sone of Maraioth, sone of Achitob, was bischop of the hows of the Lord. And Azarias the son of Helcias, the son of Mosollam, the son of Sadoc, the son of Maraioth, the son of Achitob, high priest of the house of God.  
12 Porro Adaias filius Jeroham, filii Phassur, filii Melchiæ: et Maasai filius Adiel filii Jezra, filii Mosollam, filii Mosollamith, filii Emmer. Forsothe Adaias, sone of Jeroam, sone of Phasor, sone of Melchia, and Masaia, sone of Adihel, sone of Jezra, sone of Mosollam, sone of Mosselamoth, sone of Emyner, And Adaias the son of Jeroham, the son of Phassur, the son of Melchias, and Maasai the son of Adiel, the son of Jezra, the son of Mosollam, the son of Mosollamith, the son of Emmer.  
13 Fratres quoque eorum principes per familias suas, mille septingenti sexaginta, fortissimi robore ad faciendum opus ministerii in domo Dei. also her britheren, prynces bi her meynees, weren a thousynde seuene hundrid and fourescoore, men strongeste in bodili myyt, to make the werk of seruyce in the hows of the Lord. And their brethren heads in their families re thousand seven hundred and threescore, very strong and able men for the work of the ministry in the house of God.  
14 De Levitis autem: Semeia filius Hassub filii Ezricam, filii Hasebia de filiis Merari. 15 Bacbacar quoque carpentarius, et Galal, et Mathania filius Micha, filii Zechri, filii Asaph: also Balthasar the carpenter, and Galebeth, and Machama, sone of Mycha, sone of Zechri, sone of Asaph, And Bacbacar the carpenter, and Galal, and Mathania the son of Micha, the son of Zechri the son of Asaph:  
16 et Obdia filius Semeiæ, filii Galal, filii Idithun: et Barachia filius Asa, filii Elcana, qui habitavit in atriis Netophati. and Obdias, sone of Semey, sone of Calaal, sone of Idithum, and Barachie, the sone of Asa, sone of Helcana, that dwellide in the porchis of Methophati. And Obdia the son of Semeia, the son of Galal, the son of Idithum: and Barachia the son of Asa, the son of Elcana, who dwelt in the suburbs of Netophati.  
17 Janitores autem: Sellum, et Accub, et Telmon, et Ahimam: et frater eorum Sellum princeps, Sotheli the porteris weren Sellum, and Achub, and Thelmon, and Achyman, and the britheren of hem; Sellum was the prince; And the porters were Sellum, and Accub, and Telmon, and Ahiman: and their brother Sellum was the prince, Census - Temple guard. 1Chr.9.17-27
18 usque ad illud tempus, in porta regis ad orientem, observabant per vices suas de filiis Levi. til to that tyme thei kepten bi her whilis in the yate of the kyng at the eest, of the sones of Leuy. Until that time, in the king's gate eastward, the sons of Levi waited by their turns.  
19 Sellum vero filius Core filii Abiasaph, filii Core, cum fratribus suis, et domo patris sui, hi sunt Coritæ super opera ministerii, custodes vestibulorum tabernaculi: et familiæ eorum per vices castrorum Domini custodientes introitum. Sellum forsothe, the sone of Chore, sone of Abiasaph, sone of Chore, with hise britheren, and with the hows of his fadir; these ben the sones of Chore on the werkis of the seruyce, keperis of the porchis of the tabernacle, and the meynees of hem kepten bi whilis the entryng of the castelis of the Lord. But Sellum the son of Core, the son of Abiasaph, the son of Core, with his brethren and his father's house, the Corites were over the works of the service, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle: and their families in turns were keepers of the entrance of the camp of the Lord.  
20 Phinees autem filius Eleazari, erat dux eorum coram Domino. Forsothe Phynees, the sone of Eleazar, was the duyk of hem bifor the Lord. And Phinees the son of Eleazar, was their prince before the Lord,  
21 Porro Zacharias filius Mosollamia, janitor portæ tabernaculi testimonii. Sotheli Zacarie, the sone of Mosollam, was porter of the yate of the tabernacle of witnessyng. And Zacharias the son of Mosollamia, was porter of the gate of the tabernacle of the testimony:  
22 Omnes hi electi in ostiarios per portas, ducenti duodecim: et descripti in villis propriis, quos constituerunt David, et Samuel videns, in fide sua Alle these chosun in to porteris bi yatis weren twei hundrid and twelue, and weren discryued in her owne townes, which dekenes Dauid and Samuel, the prophete, ordeyneden in her feith, All these that were chosen to be porters at the gates, were two hundred and twelve: and they mere registered in their proper towns: whom David and Samuel the seer appointed in their trust.  
23 tam ipsos, quam filios eorum in ostiis domus Domini, et in tabernaculo vicibus suis. both hem and the sones of hem in the doris of the hows of the Lord, and in the tabernacle of witnessyng, bi her whiles. As well them as their sons, to keep the gates of the house of the Lord, and the tabernacle by their turns.  
24 Per quatuor ventos erant ostiarii: id est, ad orientem, et ad occidentem, et ad aquilonem, et ad austrum. Porteris weren bi foure coostis, that is, at the eest, and at the west, and at the north, and at the south. In four quarters were the porters: that is to say, toward the east, and west, and north, and south.  
25 Fratres autem eorum in viculis morabantur, et veniebant in sabbatis suis de tempore usque ad tempus. Forsothe her britheren dwelliden in townes, and camen in her sabatis fro tyme til to tyme. And their brethren dwelt in villages, and came upon their sabbath days from time to time.  
26 His quatuor Levitis creditus erat omnis numerus janitorum, et erant super exedras, et thesauros domus Domini. Al the noumbre of porteris was bitakun to these foure dekenes, and thei kepten the chaumbris, and the tresours of the hows of the Lord. To these four Levites were committed the whole number of the porters, and they were over the chambers, and treasures, of the house of the Lord.  
27 Per gyrum quoque templi Domini morabantur in custodiis suis: ut cum tempus fuisset, ipsi mane aperirent fores. Also thei dwelliden in her kepyngis bi the cumpas of the temple of the Lord, that whanne tyme were, thei schulden opene the yatis eerli. And they abode in their watches round about the temple of the Lord: that when it was time, they might open the gates in the morning.  
28 De horum genere erant et super vasa ministerii: ad numerum enim et inferebantur vasa, et efferebantur. Men of her kyn weren also on the vessels of seruyce; for the vessels weren borun in at noumbre, and weren borun out of hem. And some of their stock had the charge of the vessels for the ministry: for the vessels were both brought in and carried out by number. Census - Levites. 1Chr.9.28-34
29 De ipsis et qui credita habebant utensilia sanctuarii, præerant similæ, et vino, et oleo, et thuri, et aromatibus. And thei that hadden the vesselis of seyntuarie bitakun to her kepyng, weren souereyns on flour, and wyn, and oile, and encense, and swete smellinge spyceries. Some of them also had the instruments of the sanctuary committed unto them, and the charge of the fine flour, and wine, and oil, and frankincense, and spices.  
30 Filii autem sacerdotum unguenta ex aromatibus conficiebant. Sotheli the sones of preestis maden oynementis of swete smellynge spiceries. And the sons of the priests made the ointments of the spices.  
31 Et Mathathias Levites primogenitus Sellum Coritæ, præfectus erat eorum, quæ in sartagine frigebantur. And Mathatias dekene, the firste gendrid sone of Sellum of the kynrede of Chore, was the souereyn of alle thingis that weren fried in the friyng panne. And Mathathias a Levite, the firstborn of Sellum the Corite, was overseer of such things as were fried in the fryingpan.  
32 Porro de filiis Caath fratribus eorum, super panes erant propositionis, ut semper novos per singula sabbata præpararent. Sotheli men of the sones of Caath, the britheren of hem, weren on the looues of settyng forth, that thei schulden make redi euere newe looues bi ech sabat. And some of the sons of Caath their brethren, were over the leaves of proposition, to prepare always new for every sabbath.  
33 Hi sunt principes cantorum per familias Levitarum, qui in exedris morabantur, ut die ac nocte jugiter suo ministerio deservirent. These ben the princis of chauntouris bi the meynees of Leuytis, that dwelliden in chaumbris, so that thei schulden serue contynueli dai and nyyt in her seruyce. These are the chief of the singing men of the families of the Levites, who dwelt in the chambers, by the temple, that they might serve continually day and night in their ministry.  
34 Capita Levitarum, per familias suas principes, manserunt in Jerusalem. The heedis of Leuitis bi her meynees, the princes, dwelliden in Jerusalem. The heads of the Levites, princes in their families, abode in Jerusalem.  
35 In Gabaon autem commorati sunt pater Gabaon Jehiel, et nomen uxoris ejus Maacha. Forsothe there dwelliden in Gabaon; Jaiel, the fadir of Gabaon, and the name of his wijf Maacha; And in Gabaon dwelt Jehiel the father of Gabaon, and the name of hill wife was Maacha: Generations - Jeiel, (King Saul's line). 1Chr.9.35-44
36 Filius primogenitus ejus Abdon, et Sur, et Cis, et Baal, et Ner, et Nadab, Abdon, his firste gendrid sone, and Sur, and Cys, and Baal, His firstborn son Abdon, and Sur, and Cis, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,  
37 Gedor quoque, et Ahio, et Zacharias, et Macelloth. and Ner, and Nadab, and Gedor, and Ahaio, and Zacharie, and Macelloth; forsothe Macelloth gendride Semmaa; Gedor also, and Ahio, and Zacharias, and Macelloth.  
38 Porro Macelloth genuit Samaan: isti habitaverunt e regione fratrum suorum in Jerusalem cum fratribus suis. these dwelliden euene ayens her britheren in Jerusalem, with her britheren. And Macelloth beget Samaan: these dwelt over against their brethren in Jerusalem, with their brethren.  
39 Ner autem genuit Cis: et Cis genuit Saul: et Saul genuit Jonathan, et Melchisua, et Abinadab, et Esbaal. Sotheli Ner gendride Cys, and Cys gendride Saul, and Saul gendride Jonathan, and Melchisue, and Abynadab, and Hisbaal. Now Ner beget Cia: and Cis begot Saul: and Saul beget Jonathan and Melchisua, and Abinadab, and Esbaal.  
40 Filius autem Jonathan, Meribbaal: et Meribbaal genuit Micha. Forsothe the sone of Jonathan was Myribaal, and Myribaal gendride Mycha. And the son of Jonathan, was Meribbaal: and Meribbaal beget Micha.  
41 Porro filii Micha, Phithon, et Melech, et Tharaa, et Ahaz. Sotheli the sones of Micha weren Phiton, and Malech, and Thara; And the sons of Micha, were Phithon, and Melech, and Tharaa, and Ahaz.  
42 Ahaz autem genuit Jara, et Jara genuit Alamath, et Azmoth, et Zamri. Zamri autem genuit Mosa. forsothe Aaz gendride Jara, and Jara gendride Alamath, and Azmoth, and Zamri; and Zamri gendride Moosa, And Ahaz beget Jara, and Jara beget Alamath, and Azmoth, and Zamri. And Zamri beget Mesa.  
43 Mosa vero genuit Banaa: cujus filius Raphaia, genuit Elasa: de quo ortus est Asel. sotheli Moosa gendride Baana, whose sone Raphaia gendride Elisa, of whom Esel was gendrid. And Mesa beget Banaa: whose son Raphaia beget Elasa: of whom was born Asel.  
44 Porro Asel sex filios habuit his nominibus: Ezricam, Bocru, Ismahel, Saria, Obdia, Hanan: hi sunt filii Asel. Forsothe Esel hadde sixe sones bi these names, Ezricam, Bochru, Hismael, Saria, Obdia, Anan; these weren the sones of Hesel. And heel had six sons whose names are, Ezricam, Bochru, Ismahel, Saria, Obdia, Hanan: these are the sons of Asel.
