1 Intulit igitur Salomon omnia quæ voverat David pater suus: argentum, et aurum, et universa vasa posuit in thesauris domus Dei. Therfor Salomon brouyte in alle thingis, siluer and gold, whiche Dauid, his fadir, hadde avowid; and he puttide alle vesselis in the tresouris of the hows of the Lord. Then Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had vowed, the silver, and the gold, and all the vessels he put among the treasures of the house of God.  
2 Post quæ congregavit majores natu Israël, et cunctos principes tribuum, et capita familiarum de filiis Israël in Jerusalem, ut adducerent arcam fœderis Domini de civitate David, quæ est Sion. After whiche thingis he gaderide togidere alle the grettere men in birthe of Israel, and alle the princes of lynagis, and the heedis of meynees, of the sones of Israel, in to Jerusalem, that thei schulden brynge the arke of boond of pees of the Lord fro the citee of Dauid, which is Syon. And after this he gathered together the ancients of Israel, and all the princes of the tribes, and the heads of the families, of the children of Israel to Jerusalem, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Sion. The Ark is brought into the temple. 2Chr.5.2-10 | 1Kgs.8.1-9 
3 Venerunt itaque ad regem omnes viri Israël in die solemni mensis septimi. Therfor alle men of Israel camen to the kyng, in the solempne dai of the seuenthe monethe. And all the men of Israel came to the king in the solemn day of the seventh month.  
4 Cumque venissent cuncti seniorum Israël, portaverunt Levitæ arcam, And whanne alle the eldre men of Israel weren comen, the dekenes baren the arke, And when all the ancients of Israel were come, the Levites took up the ark,  
5 et intulerunt eam, et omnem paraturam tabernaculi. Porro vasa sanctuarii, quæ erant in tabernaculo, portaverunt sacerdotes cum Levitis. and brouyten it in, and al the aray of the tabernacle. Forsothe the preestis with the dekenes baren the vessels of seyntuarie, that weren in the tabernacle. And brought it in, together with all the furniture of the tabernacle. And the priests with the Levites carried the vessels of the sanctuary, which were in the tabernacle.  
6 Rex autem Salomon, et universus cœtus Israël, et omnes qui fuerunt congregati ante arcam, immolabant arietes et boves absque ullo numero: tanta enim erat multitudo victimarum. Sotheli kyng Salomon, and alle the cumpenyes of Israel, and alle that weren gaderid to gidere, offriden bifor the arke wetheris and oxis with outen ony noumbre; for the multitude of slayn sacrifices was so greet. And king Solomon and all the assembly of Israel, and all that were gathered together before the ark, sacrificed rams, and oxen without number: so great was the multitude of the victims.  
7 Et intulerunt sacerdotes arcam fœderis Domini in locum suum, id est, ad oraculum templi, in Sancta sanctorum subter alas cherubim: And preestis brouyten the arke of boond of pees of the Lord in to his place, that is, to Goddis answeryng place of the temple, in to the hooli of hooli thingis, vndur the wyngis of cherubyns; And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord into its place, that is, to the oracle of the temple, into the holy of holies under the wings of the cherubims:  
8 ita ut cherubim expanderent alas suas super locum in quo posita erat arca, et ipsam arcam tegerent cum vectibus suis. so that cherubyns spredden forth her wyngis ouer the place, in which the arke was put, and hiliden thilke arke with hise barris. So that the cherubims spread their wings over the place, in which the ark was set, and covered the ark itself and its staves.  
9 Vectium autem quibus portabatur arca, quia paululum longiores erant, capita parebant ante oraculum: si vero quis paululum fuisset extrinsecus, eos videre non poterat. Fuit itaque arca ibi usque in præsentem diem. Sotheli the heedis, by which the arke was borun, weren opyn bifor Goddis answeryng place, for tho heedis weren a litil lengere; but if a man hadde be a litil with out forth, he myyt not se tho barris. Therfor the arke was there til in to present dai; Now the ends of the staves wherewith the ark was carried, because they were some thing longer, were seen before the oracle: but if a man were a little outward, he could not see them. So the ark has been there unto this day.  
10 Nihilque erat aliud in arca, nisi duæ tabulæ quas posuerat Moyses in Horeb, quando legem dedit Dominus filiis Israël egredientibus ex Ægypto. and noon other thing was in the arke, no but twei tablis, whiche Moyses hadde put in Oreb, whanne the Lord yaf the lawe to the sones of Israel goynge out of Egipt. And there was nothing else in the ark but the two tables which Moses put there at Horeb when the Lord gave the law to the children of Israel, at their coming out of Egypt.  
11 Egressis autem sacerdotibus de sanctuario (omnes enim sacerdotes qui ibi potuerant inveniri, sanctificati sunt: nec adhuc in illo tempore vices et ministeriorum ordo inter eos divisus erat), Forsothe the prestis yeden out of the seyntuarie, for alle preestis, that myyten be foundun there, weren halewid, and the whiles, and the ordre of seruyces among hem was not departid yit in that tyme; Now when the priests were come out of the sanctuary, (for all the priests that could be found there, mere sanctified: and as yet at that time the courses and orders of the ministries were not divided among them,) The glory of the LORD. 2Chr.5.11-14
12 tam Levitæ quam cantores, id est, et qui sub Asaph erant, et qui sub Eman, et qui sub Idithun, filii et fratres eorum vestiti byssinis, cymbalis, et psalteriis, et citharis concrepabant, stantes ad orientalem plagam altaris: et cum eis sacerdotes centum viginti canentes tubis. bothe dekenes and syngeris, that is, bothe thei that weren vndur Asaph, and thei that weren vndur Eman, and thei that weren vndur Idithum, her sones and britheren, clothid with white lynun clothis, sownyden with cymbalis and sautrees and harpis, and stoden at the west coost of the auter, and with hem weren sixe score preestis trumpynge. Both the Levites and the singing men, that is, both they that were under Asaph, and they that were under Heman, and they that were under Idithun, with their sons, and their brethren, clothed with fine linen, sounded with cymbals, and psalteries, and harps, standing on the east side of the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests, sounding with trumpets.  
13 Igitur cunctis pariter, et tubis, et voce, et cymbalis, et organis, et diversi generis musicorum concinentibus, et vocem in sublime tollentibus, longe sonitus audiebatur, ita ut cum Dominum laudare cœpissent et dicere:
Confitemini Domino quoniam bonus,
quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus:
impleretur domus Dei nube,
Therfor whanne alle sungen togidur both with trumpis, and vois, and cymbalis, and orguns, and of dyuerse kynde of musikis, and reisiden the vois an hiy, the sown was herd fer, so that whanne thei hadden bigunne to preyse the Lord, and to seie,
Knouleche ye to the Lord, for he is good,
for his mercy is in to the world, ether, with outen ende;
the hows of God was fillid with a cloude,
So when they all sounded together, both with trumpets, and voice, and cymbals, and organs, and with divers kind of musical instruments, and lifted up their voice on high : the sound was heard afar off, so that when they began to praise the Lord, and to say:
Give glory to the Lord for he is good,
for his mercy endureth for ever:
the house of God was filled with a cloud.
 
14 nec possent sacerdotes stare et ministrare propter caliginem. Compleverat enim gloria Domini domum Dei. and the preestis miyten not stonde and serue for the derknesse; for the glorie of the Lord hadde fillid the hows of the Lord. Nor could the priests stand and minister by reason of the cloud. For the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.
